1987 –  In the morning at most weather stations extremely or even record high daily precipitation amount was measured in August. The highest precipitation amount, 353 mm, was measured in Plužna near Bovec, in Lepena near Bovec 285 mm fell, in Stara Fužina in Bohinj 145 mm, in Nova vas on Bloke 129 mm, in Poljčane in Dravinjske gorice 116 mm and in Celje 103 mm. Pluviograph (precipitation recorder) in Bovec recorded even 275 mm of rain in 6 hours!
 
2006 –  On Kredarica (2514 m) 10 cm of snow was measured in the morning - that is the highest snow amount in the first decade of August since the beginning of the measurements in 1955.
