1951 –  Extremely abundant rainfall and snowfall in western Slovenia, which had started three days ago, finally ceased. In the morning, the highest precipitation amount in the preceding 72 hours, 471 mm, was measured at rain-gauge station Mrzla Rupa above Idrija; in Bovec 437 mm of precipitation had fallen, in Kobarid 357 mm, in Planina pod Golico 286 mm and in Bohinjska Bistrica 281 mm. Since the snow line had been mostly above 1000 MSL, a lot of snow only had fallen only about above 1500 MSL.
 
1988 –  It was heavily snowing in the Julian Alps above around 1600 MSL and raining at lower elevations. Till next morning 303 mm of precipitation had fallen in 48-hour interval in Lepena near Bovec; in Ukanc in Bohinj 267 mm of precipitation was measured, in Žaga near Bovec 244 mm, in Log pod Mangartom 201 mm and in Stara Fužina in Bohinj 145 mm.
