Description of model wind gusts
The model maps show the speed of maximum wind gusts at a height of 10 m from the ground from the ALADIN/SI model, for 72 hours ahead, in 3-hour increments. Charts are updated every 12 hours, at 4 UTC for model run at 00 UTC and at 16 UTC for model run at 12 UTC. The wind direction is shown with an arrow. The wind blows in the direction of the arrow. Wind speed is shown with colored box shades. Wind speed units are m/s. Areas from the wind, where speeds are higher than 15 m/s, are colored purple.
